Beta Comae Berenices

Just a hair under 30 light years away.  Often referred to as just “Beta Comae”, this star is a G0V with a metallicity at least as great as Sol’s, and maybe more than twice as great.  Age estimates range from under 2 billion years to around 4 billion.  No detected planets.  If it’s close to Sol in age, it’s a very good possibility.

ETA: Bryden et al give an age range of 1.8 to as old as 9.6 billion.
