This star is 62 light years away, an F6V star between 2.1 and 3.8 billion years old, with a metallicity around 75% of Sol’s.
HD 52711/Gliese 262
In Gemini, this is a G4V star located 62.3 light years from us. It’s between 4.6 and 6.8 billion years old and its metallicity is about 70% of Sol’s. Not only does this look like a good possibility for a habitable world, but 37 Geminorum, considered one of the best possibilities, is only 7.5 light years away. If your characters need to come across a species that’s just sticking its nose (or whatever) out into the universe and has established a single colony world, this would be a good place to put it.
