36 Ursae Majoris/HD 90839
Jan. 26th, 2011 07:19 pmI had originally skipped over this star because my sources suggested it was no more than a couple of billion years old. However, Bryden et al suggest it could be as old as 5.2 billion years. It’s an F8V star with 71% of Sol’s metallicity. Distances to some other stars in the same constellation: 47 Ursae Majoris, 13 light years; Pi (1) Ursae Majoris, 13.3 light years; Xi Ursae Majoris, 18.6 light years; 61 Ursae Majoris, 19 light years.
