Margaret Turnbull and her colleague Jill Tarter didn’t stop at coming up with just five stars for SETI astronomers to point their equipment at, as you will see if you read this article at http://iopscience.iop.org/0067-0049/149/2/423/fulltext. They kept going out to a distance of 25 parsecs (about 82 light years) to find 20 more “habstars“, for a total of 25. You can find the list if you click on “Table 4” in the article. The table gives right ascension and declination as well as distance, making it possible for the empire-building writer to work out how far they are from each other.
