36 Ophiuchi

Located 19.5 light years out, 36 Ophiuchi is a system made up of three orange dwarf stars. A and B are K1V stars that orbit each other, while C, a K5V, orbits their common centre of gravity from a distance of several thousand light years. A and B seem to come as close as 8 AU to each other, but there could still be habitable planets within their life zones. I was not able to dig up much data on the stars’ age, but Wikipedia says they’re no more than 1.8 billion years old, perhaps as young as 0.6 billion. So this may be a system for the terraformers.
ETA: Beichman et al give an age range of 8.64 to 8.96 billion years for 36 Ophiuchi C. Perhaps it is older than the other two.
