This is at least a binary and possible a multiple star system, located just over 29 light years from us. Gamma Leporis A is an F6V yellow-white dwarf, while B is a K2V orange dwarf. B, less spectacular, may be a better candidate for a usable planet, since A appears to be at the theoretical upper limit for having one. Metallicity appears to be around 80% of Sol’s, and the system is a bit under 3 billion years old.
ETA: Beichman et al give an age range of 8.75 to 9.14 billion years, significantly older than previous studies had indicated.
