Nu (2) Lupi and HD 84117
Oct. 16th, 2010 08:25 amNu (2) Lupi
A G2V star about 48 light years away. Around 4 or 5 billion years old. Only around 60% of Sol’s metallicity. I didn’t see any information on Nu (1) Lupi, but I assume it’s another case of an unrelated star that merely appears to be very close, as seen from Earth, to the one in our neighbourhood.
HD 84117
An F8IV or V star in Antlia, about 49 light years away. Between 2.5 and 6 billion years old. ETA: Metallicity is about 70% that of Sol.
