20 Leonis Minoris and Nu Phoenicis
Oct. 17th, 2010 09:35 am20 Leonis Minoris A and B
This system is 48.6 light years from here. A is a G3V star whose metallicity could be from half to double that of Sol. Somewhere from 6 to 8 billion years old. B is a red dwarf -- I’m not sure how close it ever comes to A.
Nu Phoenicis
Almost 6 billion years old, this is an F8V star, 49.1 light years away, that may possess a dust ring. Metallicity is a little higher than Sol’s.
