The closest star to a true “solar twin” that we’ve discovered as of this date, in terms of size, luminosity, temperature, age and metallicity.  Credit for the discovery goes to Jorge Melendez of Mount Stromlo Observatory in Australia and Ivan Ramirez of the University of Texas at Austin.  It’s a G5V in Draco at a distance of 217 light years.
